A cone after a walk on the pier is a Flagler Beach tradition, and the town has more ice cream counters per block than seems possible. Palm Coast adds frozen custard, soft-serve chains and homemade-ice-cream shops.
Ice cream shops mostly see findings about freezer ice buildup, dipper wells and scoop storage, and soft-serve machine cleaning. Soft-serve mix is dairy that has to stay cold, so a temperature finding at a soft-serve shop deserves a closer look.
