Mexican and Latin food in Flagler County

Tacos, burritos, Puerto Rican, Central American and Caribbean kitchens across Palm Coast, Bunnell and Flagler Beach, with their inspection records.

Much more than tacos

Flagler County's Latin food scene has grown quietly into one of its best. Alongside the burrito chains you'll find family taquerias, Puerto Rican kitchens serving mofongo and pernil, Central American spots with pupusas, Colombian and Venezuelan bakeries, and Caribbean cooks doing jerk chicken and oxtail. Many are small, family-run places in Palm Coast and Bunnell strip centers.

These kitchens often cook big batches of rice, beans and slow-cooked meats, so the inspection items to watch are cooling and hot-holding: cooked food needs to cool quickly and hot food needs to stay at 135°F or above. A finding there matters more than, say, a missing sign.
