Bunnell restaurants: small-town food guide

Where to eat in Bunnell, Flagler County's seat, from diners and barbecue to Latin kitchens, with each spot's inspection history.

Old Florida, still cooking

Bunnell is the county seat and the oldest town in Flagler, and its food reflects that: diners where the waitress knows your order, barbecue smoke drifting over US-1, family-run Mexican and Latin kitchens, gas-station counters that locals swear by, and a handful of spots near the courthouse that do a brisk weekday lunch.

It's quieter than the beach or Palm Coast and prices tend to be friendlier. If you're heading west toward farm country or to the county fairgrounds, this is where you stop to eat. We've also included the few licensed food spots in Marineland and Beverly Beach here, since they're small enough not to need their own guide.

The records

Right now 43 spots on our list fit this guide, and 28 of them (65%) had no high-priority findings at their latest routine inspection. Many Bunnell entries are small operations, and small kitchens can swing from visit to visit. Open each page to see the full history.
